    • ABLE Program allows for qualified individuals with disabilities to save up money in a savings account while not impacting their SSI and/or SSDI benefits. Individuals that qualify include individuals with significant disabilities with an age of onset before turning 26 years of age

    • Katie Beckett Program and the Developmental Disabilities Budget (“Redesign) is a pathway to Medicaid for children under the age of 19 living at home with long-term disabilities or complex medical needs, who may be eligible for Medicaid services even if their family income is above Medicaid federal poverty guidelines. Could your child benefit from Medicaid coverage, but your household has an income level that disqualifies you? Your child may be eligible for Katie Beckett based on their diagnosis.
      • Submit a regular Medicaid application even if you don’t qualify. Do this on paper, and write KATIE BECKETT, across the top. The Department of Health and Welfare will respond by sending you a Developmental Disabilities Application.
      • Gather copies of all of your child’s diagnostic records (physical health, developmental health and mental health), complete the Developmental Disabilities Application and submit everything together. This step moves faster if you scan and email the information, rather than mailing items
      • Next apply for the Developmental Disabilities budget aka “Redesign Budget” through the Department of Health and Welfare. This will provide $14,900 to $30,000 or higher, which can be spent on adaptive equipment, nontraditional therapies (such as music therapy, aqua therapy or equine therapy), and other items not covered by Medicaid/Katie Becket.
    • Patient Assistance Fund through the Jaden DeLuca Foundation is designed to assist families with children that have been diagnosed with Congenital Heart Defects (CHD).     • Advancing Adventures in Communicating (AAC) Camp is a day camp specializing in increasing communication abilities and socialization skills in augmentative communication users through speech generating devices.     • Idaho Youth Adaptive Sports Camp is offered to youth and teens age 6-19 who’s primary disability is a physical disability that limits mobility. Young athletes with physical disabilities who use a wheelchair, AFO braces, walker or crutches are welcome to attend. During the camp we will play and learn a variety of adaptive sports and this is the perfect time for youth athletes with physical disabilities who use a wheelchair or could use a wheelchair to participate in sports!
